ABOUT CONTROLLERTX

ControllerTX construction accounting professional working at her desk

Construction Experience.

Financial Expertise.

A Partner Who Understands Your Business.

ControllerTX was built for construction business owners who need more than accurate books. They need someone who understands how the numbers connect to the way their business actually operates.

BUILT FROM REAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE

I Know Construction —

Not Just Accounting.

Construction financial dashboard showing job profitability and project performance

ControllerTX grew out of years spent working inside construction businesses—not simply managing their books, but helping owners understand what was actually happening behind the numbers.

My experience spans general contracting and specialty trades including electrical, plumbing, paving, and more. I've seen firsthand how quickly a successful contractor can outgrow the financial systems that worked when the company was smaller.

More revenue doesn't automatically mean more profit. A full pipeline doesn't guarantee healthy cash flow. And financial reports aren't very useful if no one is helping you understand what they mean for the decisions you're making today.

That's where I come in.

I work with construction business owners to connect the financial side of the company to what's happening in the field—job profitability, cash flow, overhead, staffing, growth, and the decisions that determine where the business goes next.

My job isn't simply to tell you what happened last month. It's to help you understand your numbers well enough to make better decisions about what happens next.

You Don't Need More Reports.
You Need Someone Who Helps You Use Them.

UNDERSTAND

Know what the numbers are actually telling you.

I help turn your financials into information you can actually use—what's profitable, where cash is going, and where the business may be getting off track.

PLAN

See what's coming before it becomes a problem.

We'll look ahead at cash flow, overhead, staffing, workload, and growth so you're making decisions with better information—not reacting after the fact.

DECIDE

Have a financial partner to think through the big decisions with you.

Hiring another PM. Taking on a larger project. Adding crews. Buying equipment. Growing into a new market. You'll have someone who understands both the financial impact and the realities of construction.

The goal isn't perfect books. It's a stronger, more profitable construction business.

I've Been Working in Construction Accounting Since Before “Online Bookkeeping” Was a Thing.

My construction accounting experience began in 2002, working inside an electrical contracting business. That's where I learned something that has shaped the way I work ever since: construction accounting isn't just about keeping accurate books. You have to understand the business behind the numbers.

Since then, I've worked across general contracting and specialty trades, serving in Controller and finance leadership roles for construction-related companies at multiple stages of growth.

I've worked with the things contractors deal with every day—job costing, cash flow, payroll, AIA billing, certified payroll, subcontractor compliance, bonding, overhead, financial reporting and the operational decisions that ultimately determine whether growth is actually profitable.

Today, as the founder of ControllerTX and a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, I bring that experience to growing contractors who need more than someone keeping the books. They need someone who understands what those numbers mean for the business they're trying to build.

Construction Financial Leadership

  • Your construction company has grown faster than your financial systems.

  • You're making money, but you're not always sure where the cash is going.

  • You've outgrown basic bookkeeping and need Controller-level insight without adding another full-time executive.

  • You want to understand job profitability before the job is over—not months later.

  • You want a financial partner who will actually tell you what the numbers mean and help you decide what to do next.
